The Smiddy Farm Shop is a friendly, family run business in Blair Drummond, just outside of Stirling. We believe that farm fresh food tastes better, and we believe in investing in our colleagues and business to ensure that every customer gets excellent food and service every time!

The Role:

Your main purpose is to clean the public areas of the Smiddy to a high standard, so that customers and staff can be assured of a clean and presentable building.
Your main areas of responsibilities will be the public / shared areas of the Smiddy:
- Customer toilets
- Shop entrance
- Main shop floor
- Café floor
- Staff toilets
- Staff entrance, stairs and landing
- Office
- Staff room
Within these areas your responsibilities will include:
- Sanitise all door handles and touch points daily (doors, banisters, toilet flush, light switches)
- Clean all basins and toilets
- Empty soap dishes in customer toilets
- Replenish toilet rolls and hand towels
- Refill soaps
- Empty bins
- Clean all skirting boards
- Dust all beams (within reach)
- Clean under all shop units
- Clean the tops of all fridges in shop
- Clean under the fridges in the shop entrance
- Clean all pipework in staff toilets
- Vacuum staff room and office
- Clean internal glass doors in shop
- Keep all walls and doors clean
- Clean café floor
Any items not listed above but within your areas of responsibility should also be cleaned. Areas which you will not be expected to clean are:
- Inside fridges in shop
- Tops of units and shelves in shop
- Butchery
- Kitchen
- Behind the café counter, apart from the floor
A daily cleaning schedule will be given to you and you will be required to sign off all tasks.
You will be given training in how to use the floor cleaner, steamer and correct use of cleaning products. It is your responsibility to look after all equipment, use the correct dilution of products and report any shortages of cleaning things for reordering.
Approximately every 6 weeks you will be required to deep clean the café floor. This will be in addition to your normal working hours.
In addition to the daily tasks you will be required to steam clean areas such as the grout in the customer toilets, the bottoms of the walls and all doors, approximately every 4 weeks on a rotational basis.
Your working hours will be 6 – 9am on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and 6am – 8am on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This is subject to review after one month, to see if this working pattern is adequate for all of your areas of responsibility.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15 per week
Salary: Up to £13.00 per hour
